At the first of each month, I examine different aspects of our card of the year (COTY), the five of wands. You can catch up with the general reading, February’s look at Competition, and March’s review of Perseverance.
It does not come as a surprise, I’m sure, that a card depicting young men in a tussle would carry disagreement as a key aspect. Where there is competition and conflict, there is disagreement for sure. (A less punchy take on “where there’s smoke, there’s fire”!)
The further we get into 2023, the more I feel that this card accurately depicts the year’s vibe as a whole. Is anyone else feeling it? The conflict for sure but the grit and determination, too—it’s not all bad!
You may be experiencing a sense of disharmony—with a loved one, at work, or even within yourself. I think of disharmony as quieter than an out-and-out disagreement, but perhaps more unsettling. Disharmony can linger a long time and then suddenly break into the open and disrupt everything. It’s good to keep an eye out for it. As with other, more obvious forms of disagreement, identify exactly what is causing the disharmony and move to address it ASAP. You’ll be stronger for it, and so will your personal and work relationships.
Onward!
