If you’re just joining us, the card of the year, chosen from a well-shuffled deck late last year, is the five of wands. Catch up on the general reading for the year, then come back and read up on how this card highlights our more competitive natures.
At the first of each month, I’ll be focusing on an aspect the five of wands—a card that I was initially not at all thrilled about but which has proven to be just what I needed. Dare I hope you feel the same?
You Gotta Have Faith
Some of us love competition, some of us hate it—and there’s no denying that competition carries positive and negative attributes. This month, instead of barreling into a full-out, win-at-all-costs race—or, at the other extreme, hiding from the smallest hint at “drama”—why not lean into the spirit of healthy competition? It’ll help you achieve what that big dream you jotted down on your list of resolutions. It’ll sharpen you against your competitors.
The prerequisite? You have to believe in yourself—yes, that old cliche. We can’t compete successfully without believing we have what it takes. If you find yourself wavering, what do you need shore up your faith in yourself? And if you do have that faith, get started on those battle plans.
