One of the best things about travel is the opportunity to reset perspectives. I’ve just returned from a week in Mérida, Mexico, and while I can’t put my finger on a precise epiphany, I do feel something has shifted. And perhaps this is reflected in today’s card, the page of cups. So far this year, our weekly draws have focused on struggle, competition, and conflict—and how to work with these all too present aspects of life. This week’s card is a refreshing change, possibly influenced by my own mental reset.
Hot tip: If you haven’t had a change in scenery in a while, let this be your sign to book that getaway!
The Reading
The elements of water in the page of cups point to intuition, creativity, and even psychic ability. What are your dreams and aspirations? Do they feel farfetched? More fantastical than plausible?
I have good news for you: Pay attention to your dreams. So much is possible.
The page’s level-headed gaze at the fish leaping from his cup seems to say, “There you are”—not so much out of surprise but of expectation. Of course a fish should emerge from a golden chalice!
Of course that wild, improbable thing you want to achieve, to experience, to create should come to be.
Pay attention to your dreams. Honor them, and act on them. There is no special incantation to bring your creative desires to life, but by acting—by that swirl of energy that your movement stirs—you invite the Universe (for lack of a better name) to join forces with you to create the future you’ve dreamed of. Go get it.

Pair With the Card of the Year
Together, the five of wands (the card of the year) and page of cups remind us of that old theme of conflict and resolution, and that wherever we run into these situations, small or large, there is an opportunity to lean into our intuition and inner wisdom. In this life, challenges of all shapes and sizes are our due—and through them we grow. We learn to set boundaries, extend grace to ourselves and others, wield diplomacy, and understand differing points of view. Remaining open-minded and flexible will carry us toward resolution.
I’ll be sending an extra newsletter this week about a new aspect of the card of the year, hitting your inboxes March 1.
